Description:
The candidate will review and interpret engineering drawings and bills of material, entering data into ERP/MRP systems, generating and distributing work orders, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and efficient distribution. They will also monitor the progress of work orders; update records as needed and address any issues that arise during the production process.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with MRP system to create manufacturing work orders from engineering documents.
- Work with MRP system to create requirements for purchasing.
- Assist Production Manager to coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
- Monitor material supply flow and inventory and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage.
- Perform a variety of production related tasks and data entry duties, some non-routine and complex in nature.
- Work under minimal supervision, using good judgment in resolving routine problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) software
- Ability to read drawings and understand symbols and bills of material
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with MRP software and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong regard for product quality
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position or role

Preferred:
- Work in a manufacturing shop floor environment
- Experience of shop practices and equipment
- Experience using MRP Management system – Jobscope a plus
