Summary of Job Description:
Consejo Counseling and Referral Service is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Supervisor to lead our Youth Violence Prevention & Leadership Program. This role will oversee all aspects of the program, ensure high-quality service delivery, and maintain alignment with Consejo's mission of empowering and supporting at-risk youth. The Program Supervisor will manage a team of System Navigators and Case Managers and collaborate with behavioral health staff, schools, community centers, juvenile detention, probation officers, colleges, and employers to ensure successful outcomes. The Supervisor will train, mentor, and support the assistant Navigation Case Manager and Interns in making referrals, coordinating care, and working with multiple systems, including but not limited to jails, hospitals, vocational and housing programs, schools, legal systems, and medical providers.
Consejo's Youth Violence Prevention & Leadership Program provides comprehensive support to Latinx and BIPOC youth aged 14-24 who are at high risk, including those vulnerable to substance use, gang involvement, and other behavioral health needs. The program also serves youth who are incarcerated, transitioning back into the community, or impacted by the criminal justice system. The program fosters resilience, self-sufficiency, and leadership development through trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically responsive services.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPIST
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's with five years of supervisor experience. Master's degree in Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or Criminal Justice related field preferred.
- Leadership Abilities: Experience in staff supervision, program management, electronic health records, timely reports submissions, and representation of Consejo during funders and stakeholders meetings.
- Cultural Competency: Commitment to culturally and linguistically responsive services for Latinx and BIPOC communities.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to build partnerships and engage with diverse stakeholders, including community organizations, schools, and justice system professionals.
- Flexibility and adaptability: The willingness to work on-site at correctional facilities, schools, and community-based locations.
- The employee is required to have a valid WA state driver's license at the time of employment, be able to safely operate a motor vehicle, and have reliable transportation as this position requires to travel within the vicinity of the community in which Consejo services
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish and English
- You must sign an oath of confidentiality covering all patient-related information and will be the designated agency privacy officer. You will ensure 42 CFR and HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
- You must pass a Washington State criminal background check and pass two federal fraud and abuse exclusion checks.
- You must possess a DOH professional license.
WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time in-person position works a typical 8 AM-5 PM schedule, Monday to Friday.
SALARY
$72,800 - $80,000 a year depending on qualifications and experience.
