Position SCC Four Corners- High School Conservation Peer Leader (Day Crew, Camping Crew, Indigenous Crew and Backcountry Crew member positions available)
Who: High School students ages 17-20 in the Four Corners Region (La Plata, Montezuma, Archuleta San Juan, Dolores, and Northen New Mexico Counties) who are interested in working outdoors serving their communities and want to gain more skills!
When: MUST COMMIT to Session 1 (Early June) and Session 2 (Early July - Early August), each session lasts 4 weeks
Season starts May 26th
Location: Hesperus CO, Cortez CO, Shiprock NM, Towaoc CO
Pay: $600 per week 300hr Americorps Award amounting to: $1,565.00
Benefits: Food provided when in the field, uniform shirts, personal protective equipment, structured educational lessons from trained staff, mental health consultant on staff
The Southwest Conservation Corps is looking for RETURNING SCC Youth Members who are looking to further their leadership skills. This position will be a part of two youth sessions (8 weeks) & join a leader training week of May 26th. In this position you will work with the Crew Leaders to support all aspects of crew life; project work, camp life, team bonding, and other leadership responsibilities as assigned.
Salary : $600
