Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our ALCC crew as Conservation Legacy Crew Members. In this position, you will participate in challenging and impactful conservation projects throughout the western United States. Your work may include trail construction and maintenance, habitat improvement, hazardous fuels reduction, re-vegetation, historic preservation, and local environmental service projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Work effectively as a member of a team to achieve project goals
- Contribute to a safe learning environment by respecting others and maintaining a positive attitude
- Participate in all aspects of the program, including conservation projects, education, training, and national service
- Effectively communicate with leaders, crew, and staff to ensure smooth project execution
- Learns skills and applies them to effectively carry out service work requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; commitment to acquiring HSED while in program acceptable
- Willingness to commit fully to the program and its mission for the full duration of the term
- Ability to work long days in adverse conditions and maintain a positive perspective
- Respect for the dignity and diverse lifestyles of Indigenous people
