**Job Description:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Vegetation Management Specialist. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for controlling invasive plant species in natural areas, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with the biosecurity team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Control invasive plants in frontcountry and backcountry settings
- Conduct surveys, identification, and mechanical/chemical removal for invasive plant species
- Maintain accurate records of treatment and control work, updating spatial data in databases and GPS mobile mapping units
- Collaborate with the biosecurity team to ensure effective monitoring and inspection of field sites
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Able to hike on remote terrain with a 50-pound backpack and camp up to 5 nights in backcountry
- Ability to use chemical pesticides and herbicides safely
- Excellent communication skills
