**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Vegetation Management Specialist. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in controlling invasive plant species in natural areas.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Work with a team to control invasive plants in frontcountry and backcountry settings
- Conduct surveys, identification, and mechanical/chemical removal for invasive plant species
- Keep accurate records of treatment and control work, updating spatial data in databases and GPS mobile mapping units
- Assist the biosecurity team with inspections and monitoring field sites
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Able to hike on remote terrain with a 50-pound backpack and camp up to 5 nights in backcountry
- Ability to use chemical pesticides and herbicides safely
- Excellent communication skills
