What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wildland Resource Manager position at Conservation Legacy?
Conservation Legacy:
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving our natural resources at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. As a Wildland Resource Manager, you will be responsible for managing vegetation in both frontcountry and backcountry settings through surveying, identification, and mechanical/chemical removal.
You will work closely with the biosecurity team to conduct inspections and monitor field sites. Additionally, you will participate in surveys to detect trees infected by Ceratocystis (Rapid Ohia Death) and assist the restoration team with propagating native seedlings and planting and collecting seeds.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in botany, ecology, or a related field, with experience in invasive plant management and control. You should be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers, both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities:
