Budtender - Full Time

Job Summary

Conservatory Cannabis is looking for passionate people to join our team. The ideal candidate will love interacting and building rapport with customers and have an interest in cannabis.

As a Budtender, you’ll have face-to-face customer interaction. You’ll assist them in purchasing their cannabis products. You’ll be provided with training so that you can properly inform them of the products they’re interested in purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on cannabis properties and selection of proper genetics according to their desired effect for customers.
• Fill online orders in a quick and efficient manner; greet and checkout customers ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Handle customer complaints in a professional manner; escalate to management when needed.
• Maintain product knowledge and keep up on current cannabis trends.
• Comply with company cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities and compliance reporting per company policy.
• Assist with intake of product, inventory counts and additional audits on a regular basis.
• Daily compliance with dispensary policies, including but not limited to the following: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.
• Maintain compliance with local and state regulations, company policies and SOPs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to cultivate long-term customer relationships
• One to two years of demonstrated work experience in customer service and/or sales, in a fast paced, demanding retail environment (cannabis experience is preferred, but not required.)
• Experience using point of sales systems
• Positive attitude in high volume sales setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including ability to speak and work proactively with customers and staff
• Organized and flexible, with a team-player mindset
• Attention to detail
• Ability to deal with problems and resolve issues in a professional manner
• Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Proven cash-handling skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including extended days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Genuine enthusiasm and love for cannabis and the cannabis industry

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds
• Role includes standing or walking for prolonged periods of time (i.e., up to the duration of a scheduled shift), as well as stooping, sitting, bending over and/or crouching
