Position Overview: The Project Manager for the Revenue Operations team will be responsible for driving the execution of cross-functional projects, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and meet business goals. This role will support the optimization of project intake, scoping, and prioritization processes, provide regular reporting on project status and capacity, and manage the RevOps team's bi-weekly sprint cycle to ensure continuous progress. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in project management software such as Asana, along with a proven ability to handle complex project plans and work with multiple stakeholders to execute initiatives efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Intake, Scoping, and Prioritization:
- Develop and improve the project intake process, ensuring that new projects are scoped clearly, prioritized according to business impact, and aligned with the overall strategic objectives of the Revenue Operations team.
- Work closely with key stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Finance, and Executive leadership to gather requirements and define project scope.
- Project Reporting & Capacity Management:
- Produce regular reports on the status of ongoing projects, including progress against deadlines, resource allocation, and project health.
- Assist in determining the Revenue Operations team's production output and capacity to ensure optimal resource utilization across all initiatives.
- Use project management tools (e.g., Asana) to track milestones and identify potential delays or resource constraints.
- Sprint Management & Communication:
- Manage the bi-weekly sprint cycle, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, prioritized, and on track to be completed within the designated sprint period.
- Proactively communicate project status, potential blockers, and any adjustments required to meet deadlines to stakeholders.
- Ensure that projects are delivered within scope, on time, and on budget by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Sprint Review Meetings:
- Own and lead a monthly Sprint Review meeting, bringing together key leadership from stakeholder organizations including Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Finance, VP of Revenue Operations, and the Chief Revenue Officer.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on completed work, upcoming initiatives, and any potential roadblocks or resource needs.
- Gather feedback from leadership to refine and improve future sprint cycles.
- Complex Project Management & Documentation:
- Manage complex project plans, ensuring that all key milestones, timelines, and dependencies are tracked and communicated effectively across teams.
- Provide thorough documentation as projects are scoped, prioritized, and executed, including project charters, timelines, status updates, and post-project reviews.
- Ensure that all necessary stakeholders are aligned and informed at every stage of the project lifecycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with teams across the Revenue Operations organization and other departments to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with broader business objectives.
- Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure projects move forward according to schedule.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in how the Revenue Operations team handles projects, with a focus on increasing efficiency and reducing friction between teams.
- Incorporate post-mortem reviews of projects to identify and implement ways to continuously refine and improve requirements gathering, scoping, solution design, early and proactive identification of dependencies and barriers, and improving alignment and education.
- Collect feedback post-project and suggest improvements to streamline future projects and enhance team performance.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of project management experience, preferably within a Revenue Operations or recurring revenue or services business.
- Proven proficiency with project management tools such as Asana, Jira, or Trello.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional projects, with an emphasis on scope, timelines, and resource management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex project plans, track dependencies, and report on project progress.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum) is a plus.
- Experience leading sprint cycles and sprint review meetings in an Agile environment is a plus.
