Summary
Our client seeks a Senior Paralegal to assist the Litigation practice groups in all phases of the litigation process from the initial complaint to discovery through to trial and appeal. This paralegal will also assist the Labor and Employment, Bankruptcy & Restructuring, and Corporate groups as well.
Responsibilities
- Assisting attorneys in all phases of litigation including motion practice, discovery, trial, and post-trial
- Drafting documents / pleadings including subpoenas, deposition notices, document requests and responses, interrogatories and responses, request for admissions, affidavits / affirmations, answers, notices, declarations, and agreements
- Coordinating e-filing and service process with the Managing Attorney’s office for federal / state court or judicial panels
- Compiling, organizing, and reviewing responsive and related production documents
- Cite-checking, Shepardizing, Blue booking and proofreading court filings and related position papers
- Performing statistical and factual research and compiling data for analyses
- Assisting in all phases of pre-trial activities including witness binders, organizing trial exhibits, coordinating witness attendance at trial, and coordinating the trial logistics; Attending and assisting at trial / hearings including preparing and maintaining exhibits and demonstratives, tracking exhibits introduced and marked into evidence
- Coordinating the preparation of invoices for lender matters
- Monitoring docket(s), coordinating service of filings
- Preparing ebinders, coordinating printing and delivery of physical binders; Basic document handling for the Corporate department
- Supervising junior paralegals as needed
- Interact and liaise with clients and vendors
Qualifications
Compensation is dependent on experience, $80,000.00-$140,000.00, plus overtime and bonus.
