The Front-Line Mortgage Origination Loan Processor is responsible for reviewing FNMA Home Ready (CRA) and FHLMC Home Possible (CRA) loan applications, gathering necessary documentation, and ensuring all files meet lender and regulatory requirements before underwriting.
The processors work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to verify income, assets, credit, and property details while resolving any issues that may arise during the loan process. Their role is crucial in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance to facilitate smooth and timely loan approval.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate tax returns and credit documents to determine readiness for FNMA Home Ready (CRA) and FHLMC Home Possible (CRA) loan applications loan approval or identification of risk.
- Review the conditions of loan to ensure they are met.
- Perform daily proactive pipeline management.
- Set expectations, provide timely status updates and establish deadlines for customers.
- Manage a pipeline of loans driving activities to meet expectations and timelines.
- Effectively manage your own work queue.
- Review reporting to target loans in the pipeline that need special attention.
- Closing Disclosure timing.

- Evaluate and understand acceptable hazard and flood insurance documents for acceptability.
- Respond and evaluate internal and external compliance audit finding and remediate.
- Audit conditions prior to filing submission to underwriting to confirm they meet requirements.
- Coordination as needed with client, borrower, closer, third parties, and settlement agent to ensure timely signing of documents.
- Support organization in resolving issues and complaints from customers, and clients.
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with customers, and loan officers.
- Direct experience processing mortgage origination application processing for the FNMA “Home Ready” Loan Program required
- Direct experience processing mortgage origination application processing for the FHLMC “Home Possible” Loan Program required
- Direct experience with CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) mortgage processing
- Minimum 2 years processing front-line CRA mortgage origination loan applications
- Minimum 2 years of experience of Empower (LOS) Loan Origination System preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective Microsoft office skills with a focus on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and multi-task when necessary.
- Strong customer service skills, problem-solving skills, work well when under pressure and up against deadlines.
