The Asset Manager Associate will oversee and optimize the financial and operational performance of thermal and renewable power generation assets. This role involves monitoring key performance indicators, ensuring contract compliance, managing relationships with stakeholders, and providing strategic insights for maximizing asset value. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to support a dynamic, collaborative team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, reporting insights to owners and business partners.
- Assist in developing and tracking the annual operating budget and business plan, including financial performance, maintenance schedules, and revenue projections.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of project documents (e.g., loan agreements, technical contracts, operations and maintenance contracts) and ensure compliance with reporting and contractual obligations.
- Manage relationships with project owners, lenders, and partners, including presenting operational metrics and financial and commercial updates.
- Develop and manage Excel models for managing key project performance indicators, budgeting, settlements, invoicing, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with a team of subject matter experts to deliver comprehensive asset management services for power generation facilities.
- Foster a team environment based on trust, open communication, and creative problem-solving.
- Support asset administration to maximize value while adhering to ownership and contractual responsibilities.
- Organize and implement materials aligned with owner objectives, project structure, and contractual requirements.
- Ensure timely performance reporting to key stakeholders.
- Represent company interests at the project level to optimize profitability and return on investment.
- Maintain awareness of operational, commercial, financial, and technical issues affecting assigned projects.
- Lead internal review processes to assess current and forecasted investment performance.
- Provide recommendations to resolve project, contractual, commercial, or regulatory challenges.
- Represent project investments in internal discussions on strategy, performance, and growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Science.
- Internship or relevant work experience required.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and distill insights into clear, actionable strategies.
- Strong analytical skills to compile, dissect, and interpret financial and operational data.
- Customer-focused mindset with critical reasoning and sound decision-making in fast-paced environments.
