The Area Coordinator – Scheduling is responsible for overseeing the assignment, execution, and completion of work by schedulers. This role ensures that maintenance work is planned and scheduled efficiently, emphasizing productivity, safety, quality, environmental compliance, and housekeeping. The coordinator serves as the Power Production expert and administrator of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and oversees the station storeroom, directing the Storeroom Supervisor to ensure cost-effective operations. Additionally, this role provides leadership and training to direct reports, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organizational objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Coordination: Integrate long-term work planning with Capital Asset Management, Outage Management, and Plant Management to implement best practices.
- Work Scheduling & Execution: Oversee daily work planning, scheduling, and assignment of tasks, ensuring safety, coordination, quality, environmental compliance, and productivity.
- Performance Oversight: Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Review completed work to confirm proper documentation and housekeeping, initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Customer & Resource Management: Ensure customer requirements are met by coordinating efforts between Planners, Schedulers, and the Stores Supervisor. Expedite resources as needed for emergency situations and participate in after-hours call responsibilities.
- Leadership & Development: Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations for direct reports. Conduct annual performance appraisals and quarterly development meetings. Foster a positive work environment through regular communication, addressing work concerns, and leading weekly safety meetings.
- CMMS Administration: Oversee all phases of CMMS implementation, usage, and training. Ensure system utilization across plant departments, recommend system improvements, and serve as the primary site administrator.
- Operational & Maintenance Management: Plan and schedule routine, corrective, and preventive maintenance. Manage station stores, work order processes, root cause failure analysis, and key plant performance indicators (KPIs). Coordinate outage discovery work with Asset and Outage Management teams.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other assigned duties as needed.
