The Keystone Generating Station is 1.71-gigawatt (1,711 MW), coal power plant in southeastern Armstrong County Pennsylvania.
This position is responsible for activities related to the operation of a coal-fired plant, including installing, testing removing or replacing motors, generators, rectifiers, batteries, transformers, regulators, reactors, circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, instrument relays, lighting equipment and other allied equipment and control apparatus. The candidate must reside within a reasonable distance from the facility in order to be available for callouts and emergencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Successful candidate will install, test, remove or replace motors, generators, rectifiers, batteries, transformers, regulators, reactors, circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, instruments, relays, lighting equipment, lighting arrestors, and other allied equipment and control apparatus.
- Other duties include insulating oil testing, welding, setting, adjusting, and maintaining all steam, water and air flow meters, recorders, temperature gauges, main and auxiliary apparatus. Maintains all apparatus and test equipment used in these job duties.
- Under close supervision, may be required to assist in making any combustion, furnace, burner, boiler, or superheater efficiency tests.
