Join our team as an Engineering Intern at the Merom Generating Station, where you’ll gain hands-on experience in analyzing performance data, supporting engineering projects, and improving station operations. This role involves assisting with data compilation, equipment troubleshooting, project coordination, and document management to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and prepare Generation Availability Data System (GADS) reports in compliance with NERC/MISO standards.
- Compile, verify, and analyze performance and statistical data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Engineering Support:
- Assist engineers with equipment inspections, troubleshooting, data collection, and cost estimation.
- Support project managers and equipment owners with data gathering for equipment/process modifications.
- Conduct performance and PDM testing, including data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
- Assist with preventive maintenance development, spare parts identification, and root cause failure analysis.
Field & Project Coordination:
- Participate in field projects, maintenance activities, and planned outages.
- Support document and drawing management tasks for the engineering team.
General Assistance:
- Work with station management to develop reports and analyze operational trends.
- Provide support to core teams as needed.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet station needs.
