Hamakua Energy is a 60 MW, combined cycle facility fuel with liquid fuels (biodiesel and naphtha) consisting of two LM2500 combustion turbine and one Mitsubishi steam turbine in Honoka'a, Hawai'i.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Shares on-call duties with the Plant Manager, providing coverage as required.
- Conducts regular inspections, water quality analysis, and troubleshooting to optimize plant performance.
- Plans and coordinates maintenance activities to maximize plant availability and enhance cost-effectiveness.
- Ensures the accurate preparation and maintenance of plant documentation to support proper historical record-keeping and reporting of operations and maintenance activities.
- Provides operational shift coverage as needed, under the direction of the Plant Manager.
- Manages and executes projects as assigned by the Plant Manager, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Fosters a collaborative, team-oriented work environment, promoting cooperation among staff.
- Coordinates plant production in alignment with contractual obligations and in consultation with owner representatives.
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, suppliers, maintenance personnel, and operators to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Administers shift schedules, housekeeping responsibilities, maintenance work assignments, and operational routines to maintain plant efficiency.
- Supports the development and delivery of operations and maintenance training programs to ensure staff competency and qualification.
- Makes timely and sound decisions in response to non-routine operational situations, ensuring minimal disruption to plant activities.
- Manages the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring work orders are completed in accordance with technical manuals and engineering best practices.
