The Consolidated Catholic Administrative Services (CCAS) is seeking an experienced Director of Technology Business Solutions (Chief Information Officer (CIO)) who will report to the territorial administrator (Chief Financial and Administrative Officer). The CIO assists the territorial administrator with all matters related to technology for the Legionaries of Christ. The individual will lead, plan, and develop both the technical infrastructure and applications to support the organization’s technological needs. The IT Director ensures the technology, and the infrastructure are up-to-date and serve the business needs of the organization; they are part of the directive team for the territorial administration.
CCAS oversees the technology needs for the North American Territory of the Legionaries of Christ (Legion). It oversees the technology for 25 employees working onsite, another 25 employees working remotely, two seminaries, and 150 Legionaries located throughout the US, Canada and the Philippines.
The CIO has six remote direct reports dedicated to the Salesforce CRM system, which supports 25 localities and a third party to handle the helpdesk tickets and daily services, and collaborates with the global technology team based in Mexico.

Strategic IT Leadership
- Vision Alignment: Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with CCAS’s mission, emphasizing community support, stewardship, and service.
- Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring they meet organizational goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Technology Assessment: Evaluate and recommend modern technologies that enhance operational efficiency and promote CCAS’s objectives.
Technical Expertise
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee network security, data management, and IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Application Development: Support and integrate software solutions tailored to CCAS’s unique needs (e.g., church management systems, donation platforms, Salesforce, Accounting Systems, etc.).
- Cybersecurity: Protect sensitive data, including donor and RC member records, through robust cybersecurity measures and compliance with data protection regulations.
Operational Excellence
- Budgeting and Cost Efficiency: Develop and manage IT budgets effectively, prioritizing costeffective solutions while delivering high-quality services.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers. Create RFPs for competitive bidding.
- Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain business continuity plans, ensuring minimal downtime in emergencies.
Collaboration and Communication
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with clergy, staff, and organizational leaders, translating technical concepts into accessible language.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various departments, ensuring IT supports organizational priorities across education, finance, and outreach programs.
- Team Leadership: Build and manage a skilled IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and service.

Qualifications
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, PMP, or Microsoft Azure/Office 365 certifications.
Experience
10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 6 years in a leadership role overseeing IT operations and staff.
Demonstrated experience managing enterprise IT systems, networks, and security protocols in multi-site or complex environments.
Proven success in planning, implementing, and managing cloud services, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT infrastructure.
Experience with software and platforms commonly used in non-profit or faith-based organizations, such as financial management systems and membership databases.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi solutions. (Unify, SonicWall and other network components)
Proficiency in Office 365 Administration, Microsoft Teams, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
Knowledge of compliance and control frameworks such as COBIT, GDPR, HIPAA, or other relevant data privacy laws.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and integration of financial/HR systems. E.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Office, SAP, Sage, QuickBooks and other systems
Leadership and Organizational Skills
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a diverse/remote team of IT professionals.
Exceptional project management skills, with a history of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and IT budgeting.
Communication and Collaboration
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Fluent in Spanish.
Skilled in collaborating with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
Proven ability to build relationships with external vendors and partners.
