What are the responsibilities and job description for the Damage & Asset Recovery Coordinator position at Consolidated Chassis Management, LLC?
Position Summary:
In this role the applicant will join the newly created Damage & Asset Recovery team. The Coordinator will perform track and trace functions to locate chassis using internal and external computer systems and return the chassis to the chassis pool. The candidate will use their industry and systems knowledge to recover the systems knowledge to coordinate the recovery of process for accident damage, lost or stolen chassis networking with facilities, Motor Carriers and local pool staff. The candidate will create 3rd party invoices through MandR and send invoices to the customers. This role will report to the Damage & Asset Recovery Manager.
This position is located on-site in Rockaway, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Research flagged, Lost/missing chassis as reported by Pool Management
- Communicate with Steamship Lines, Motor Carriers, Railroads, and Ports to recover chassis
- Create weekly reporting to the Manager, Damage & Asset Recovery on detailed steps to recover chassis
- Liaison with the DR team and outside collection agency to manage the collections process; networking with customers, pool staff and escalating collections, as needed
- Follow CCM documented procedures in reporting chassis lost or stolen
- Rebill customers for 3rd party damage
- Coordinate field rebills to customers for 3rd party damage
- Work with customers to resolve billing disputes
- Ad hoc report
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years Industry relevant experience (Transportation/Intermodal/Logistics) preferred
- Experience in accounts receivable, data entry, customer service or collections activities is beneficial
- Two or more years’ college education (Associates Degree or better) is required
- Proficient in relevant computer applications (MS Excel knowledge a must)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and problem-solve
- Strong leadership skills to direct a small team
- Critical thinking/judgment skills required
