Overview
The Operating Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing all business activities associated with Professional Services to include but not limited to the loading dock, parking lot, mail operations and print shop. Role will drive safety, operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the supervisor will drive the development of the loading dock, parking lot and mail operations process improvements.This supervisor must be an energetic and motivated leader with effective communication skills. Must demonstrate initiative, commitment to safety, and customer service. Will act as a champion to support and execute diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, and create and maintain a safe, secure, engaging and inclusive workplace.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees, foster a culture of zero harm and a transparent and questioning environment. Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
- Supervise union and contractor personnel. Must be knowledgeable with the Local 1-2 Collective Bargaining Contract.
- Interact with customer to address and resolve issues / complaints, prioritize daily work to meet the needs of the department and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Supervise Mail / Loading dock, Conference Room and Print Shop operations / Supervise personnel that will be handling mail routing to a central location, processing incoming and outgoing mail, maintain official bulletin boards, update postal machine with customer accounts, register corporate FedEx account use.
- Supervise incoming customer package processing, storage, and delivery.
- Supervise physical conference room set-ups i.e. : CERC and special events.
- Report contractor performance through the Contractor Oversight System (COS) / Report Contractor Field Observation Reports (CFOR), Infractions, and Action Lines as required in COS / Ensure any contract changes are processed in accordance with the Contract Administration Manual (CAM).
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment.
- Review staffing resources, work assignments and overtime request (i.e. regular time, vacations schedules, sick). Ensure team training is in compliance with company requirements.
- Work with team to develop a proactive, customer-centric culture that fosters trust and confidence among our team and customers
- Review employees work and attendance records as necessary in accordance with company guidelines.
- Address other related tasks and assignments as required.
