Core Responsibilities
- Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining physical security at facilities as required by NERC and Company policies and procedures.

- Coordinate closely with working groups to develop and maintain medium- and long-range resource capability plans for the execution of Substation Operations portfolio of capital construction work. Direct which working groups will perform what work.
- Identify emergent capital work items and develop plans to address these within given time constrain while accounting for impact on medium- and long-range resource capability plans.
- Present consolidated resource plans to various working groups and all levels of management.
- Work with Substation Operations outage schedulers and project/program managers to track status of outages and identify opportunities to consolidate work into the minimum number of equipment outages.
- Oversee contractors and company personnel, as required, for the development and tracking of detailed construction schedules with field planners.
- Track, monitor, and report on project resource allocations, schedules, and budgets.
- Verify accuracy and consistency of data used as inputs to the resource models, schedules, and forecasts and develop improved methods of gathering/tracking data.
- Develop and direct the application of new and innovative analytical resource and job planning techniques to ensure the organization's work is optimized using state-of-the-art techniques.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams responsible for new department initiatives.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or other applicable technical field and 5 or more years' related experience or
- Associate's Degree Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or other applicable technical field and 7 or more years' related experience or
- High School Diploma/GED and 9 or more years' related experience
Relevant Work Experience
- Strong knowledge of resource allocation and budgeting. Required
- Working knowledge of cost controls, operating budgets, and contract administration. Required
- Must be well organized, detail oriented, and able to handle multiple project assignments on an ongoing basis. Required
- Must be able to exercise independent judgement and assess the ability to render sound business decisions. Required
- Must possess strong leadership skills, people skills, and initiative to champion change and have the ability to influence others in order to improve management processes. Required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to drive results by collaborating with stakeholders to build consensus. Required
- Strong writing and oral communications skills. Required
- Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills. Required
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with high-voltage substation electrical equipment and procedures are strongly preferred. Preferred
- Experience with the installation, maintenance, repair, or operation of high-voltage substation electrical equipment. Preferred

Other Physical Demands
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
- Ability to respond to system emergencies.
- Perform extended driving through heavy traffic and severe off-road conditions.
- Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e. excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
- Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems
- Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
- Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
- Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
- Use personal vehicle(s), and be able to transport, store, and secure company laptops and other job-related equipment in vehicle. Acknowledge that reimbursement for use of personal vehicle is available through the company mileage procedure
