Job Description
The Interconnections Planning Engineer will conduct interconnection studies for offshore wind, energy storage, public policy transmission, and other new clean energy projects. They will perform power-flow and short circuit analyses for substations, contribute to identifying local and system upgrades to maintain reliable electric system operations, and organize developer site visits to Con Edison facilities. Additionally, they will participate in internal engineering support activities, interface with NYISO and merchant developers, and assess the impacts of new generation / transmission projects on the bulk electric system, developing recommended modifications for NYISO.
