Job Description
The Project Specialist will be responsible to coordinate with Gas Operations Supervisors, Planners, Managers and Work Organizers to onboard all Gas Ops into GASOPSIQ. The Project Specialist will be the Project Manager of all GASOPSIQ projects within Gas Ops and Gas Engineering. The Project Specialist will need to become a super user of GASOPS IQ and the change agent for Gas Operations. They will be a local point of contact and provide guidance and assistance to all end users of this platform. Work closely with Gas Central for the integration of emergency work within GASOPS IQ. The Project Specialist will be the reviewer of any "red flags" within all the current but not limited workflows being supported such as PE Joining, Short Interval Inspections, QA / QC and Gas Operations. The Project Specialist will become the field change agent for any new OQ changes and how it will affect OQ Testing. They will assist with any training on the new Practical Evaluations being released and will become if not already dual operator qualified to be a backup field trainer. They will conduct annual audits to all Locals and Contractors and document via Assure App. The Project Specialist will become the approver for all contractor facilitators to ensure consistency on the delivery of any training and OQ change and follow proper Management of Change specifications for any new requirements that need to be added or eliminated from contractor ITS roles. They will be the backup to the current Project Specialist that manage Contractor OQ and Training Program.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare presentations for monthly B&S meeting, monthly Employment Development meetings and quarterly Executive status reports.
- Conduct weekly meetings with GASOPSIQ to check in on the progress of projects with Gas Ops, CM and Transmission Engineering Act as point-of-contact (POC) for all technical details within GASOPSIQ and provide comments and feedback to the vendor and improve upon the product.
- Maintain a list of projects within GASOPSIQ and lead any R&D projects that GASOPSIQ is included.
- Lead all GASOPSIQ communication efforts, including training updates, eLearnings, micro videos, user guides etc.
- Investigate all red flags that are sent daily within GASOPSIQ and ensure compliance. Maintain documentation and develop meaningful reporting metrics within GASOPSIQ based on red flags
- Conduct annual audits to all Locals and Contractors and document via Assure APP.
- Manage the OPQUAL email throughout the year.
- Coordinate with all Gas Ops groups to enhance training schedule and establish structured timeframes to onboard everybody onto the platform of GASOPSIQ, including all Technical Groups and Construction Services.
- Oversee integration of GASOPSIQ and Gas Central and manage the migration of the GASOPSIQ data into coned servers.
- Ensure training and DISA compliance for all Con Edison personnel through reports and analysis by leveraging GASOPSIQ.
- Attend and provide input and feedback to the OQ Committee for any new OQ requirements in Gas Operations. Participate in all OQ-related committees (internal and external).
- Create and sustain a workplace that fosters inclusion, leadership, professionalism, safety, operational excellence, integrity and courtesy.
- Maintain a questioning attitude and effectively collaborate with external groups and organizations (Gas Central) as needed to continuously improve OQ validation. Match up all Gas Central codes with GASOPSIQ to ensure all work is captured within GASOPSIQ.
- Evaluate effectiveness GASOPSIQ training sessions annually by conducting workshops to receive feedback from customers (Area Gas union personnel / supervisors / planners / work organizers).
- Oversee the integration of EWC and GASOPSIQ.
- Participate in OQ Change management process meetings, prepare MOC documentation / forms etc.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as needed.
