Job Description
The Simulator Senior Specialist is responsible for the support, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of Gas Control'sGas Transmission System digital twin pipeline model simulator to support the continued safe and reliable operation of the Company's gas transportation system through real-time realistic training environments and scenarios in a fault tolerant environment.The individual collaborates with multi-discipline teams, including Gas Engineering, Gas System Operators, SCADA support personnel, vendors, and other enterprise members, to capture system modifications and ensure data integrity across digital environments. They implement changes through consistent Management of Change processes to maintain a high-fidelity training environment. Additionally, the specialist uses pipeline simulation software to consult on potential system contingencies, pre-planning of field execution work packages, system behavior investigations, and IP-9 procedures. Working closely with the Senior Gas System Operator, the specialist helps develop a best-in-class controller training program in Gas Control and adds value to cross-commodity operations.

Core Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain the SCADA Twin simulator to replicate real-world scenarios.
- Create and provide reports to identify work completed, outstanding and remaining as well as other reports to supervisors and managers.
- Design and implement SCADA system architectures and interfaces.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Perform transmission studies in support of Control Center activities, capital projects, etc.
- Performs analysis and reconciliation of internal records reviews, to identify areas of improvement as well as future review schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the SCADA Twin simulator and associated systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the SCADA Twin simulator with other systems and technologies.
- Conduct training sessions for Operators and clients on the use and capabilities of the SCADA Twin simulator.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the SCADA Twin simulator.
- Promote best practices including cybersecurity and follow procedures and guidelines to ensure complete compliance with the regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
