Summary :
Nu-Lite Electrical Wholesalers is looking for an experienced Quotations Specialist - Switchgear for our Harahan, LA location. The Quotations Specialist - Switchgear is responsible for establishing relationships with customers and vendors
to secure pricing positions for bids. This individual is also responsible for reviewing bid packages, formulating project quotations, and providing product knowledge.
Reports to : Profit Center Manager
Minimum Qualifications :
A minimum of one year of customer service experience
Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
Familiarity with Office Suite software
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications :
2 years of customer service, project management, or related experience
Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls, or an adjacent industry
Working Conditions :
Working conditions will be standard for an office environment & warehouse.
Supervisory Responsibilities : No
Essential Job Functions :
Provide outstanding customer service through communication skills and technical ability.
Review specifications and electrical construction drawings
Be a resource for coworker with regard to design & technical questions
Perform take-offs for materials to be quoted
Create accurate and complete bill of materials
Work closely with the sales team to strategize on project quotes
Review bid package and all the requirements surrounding the package including technical requirements, approved manufactures list, commercial requirements, and documentation requirements
Work closely with Outside Sales to discuss the strategy and approach for each proposal request
Format customer request into a quote for bid review
Break down bid package and issues Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors for project quotation levels while communicating deadline, project information, and any additional pertinent information available
Prepare and submit a final proposal with all required documentation
May negotiate pricing with suppliers and offer substitute products where appropriate
Participate in product meetings and trainings to enhance and maintain personal product knowledge
Meet with the Outside Sales team to discuss vendor strategy
Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
