This is a great opportunity for an Entry Level candidate.Reports to : Warehouse ManagerMinimum Qualifications : California Driver’s License (Required)Use a handheld scannerDo basic mathUse a pallet jack and / or forkliftTeam playerPreferred Qualifications : Previous warehouse / or shipping receiving experienceWorking Conditions : Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot / cold temperatures.Supervisory Responsibilities : NoEssential Job Functions : Pick orders for customers to be delivered or will calledOrganize warehouse materialStage PalletsReceive inbound shipments including some forklift dutiesDeliver, or pick up, merchandise to, or from, our customers and suppliers in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.Make sure every delivery is signed for, and the signature is legible, and every pick up is authorized.Advise Warehouse Manager of any mechanical problems with the Company truck.Unload delivery trucksMake sure no damaged items are receivedCompare packing lists to purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing listPut stock away on shelves or in designated stock put away areasDelivering MerchandiseCorrectly place material on our warehouse shelvesAccurately place material with its sales registerConduct cycle counts and participate in inventory functionsAbility to legally operate a motor vehicle, and have a driving record that meets the company standards.Ability to perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicleAbility to manually lift heavy boxes (minimum of 70 lbs.) of stock from shelves in warehouse, including reaching, lifting overhead, stooping down, crouching and climbing ladders.Ability to pull stock from, and to stock, conduit racks in warehouse or yard.Ability to load and unload trucks from ground level or platform.Ability to safely operate materials handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc.) and wire measuring equipment.Ability to read a map and plan the routing of delivery trucks.Ability to count bundles, boxes, reels, coils, and pallets.Ability to deliver, or pick up, merchandise to, or from, our customers and suppliers in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.Ability to comprehend, read, and to communicate the English language orally and in writing.CED is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disability | VeteranCompensation Range : The compensation range for this position is $18 to $22 hourly.Other Compensation : The following additional compensation may be applicable for this position : BonusProfit SharingBenefits : Benefits available for this position are : Insurance - Medical, Dental, Vision Care for full-time positionsDisability InsuranceLife Insurance401(k)Paid Sick LeavePaid HolidaysPaid VacationHealth Savings Account (HSA) and matching
