Job Title: Sales Trainee
CED's competitive Sales Training Program provides the tools and training for learning the ins and outs of one of the nation's fastest-growing industries.
About the Role:
In this approximate 24-month rotational position, you will be exposed to various roles in each facet of the company, gaining experience in all aspects of the business. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, exemplifies stellar time management and communication skills, and is excited to be empowered and involved in business goals and initiatives.
- Learn all aspects of the CED business
- Attend classes online as well as in-person at various locations
- Participate in on-the-job training and mentoring
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships and rapport with solar customers
- Contribute to goal-planning with Division and Training Managers
This role requires a minimum of 18 years of age, a current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future).
Working Conditions:
The working conditions vary based on the trainee's current segment of the training and may include warehouse, office, and external environments. Some segments may involve lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions, sitting for extended periods, and travel by car and air.
Responsibilities:
- Sales activities including negotiations and reaching team-oriented sales and GP goals
- Developing sales opportunities with current customers, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations
- Maintaining a proactive approach to all accounts and their needs through constant communication and prompt responses
- Filling orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery dates, explaining stock-outs
- Updating job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities
- Accomplishing department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
