Warehouse Supervisor/Assistant Manager
THE PERSON:

We are expanding our warehouse team and looking for a coachable team player who is very detail-oriented and can work independently.
Our ideal Assistant Warehouse Manager understands warehouse operations, is computer savvy but also likes to get their hands dirty. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others and getting the details right. This professional wants to gain new skills, overcome challenges, and be part of a team within a growing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Allocation and assignment of duties for the Warehouse Team Members
- Supervise and coach Warehouse Team Members
- Backup Warehouse Manager
- Conduct inventory cycle counts
- Conduct inventory quality control checks
- Monitor and provide continual training on safety standards applicable to Midwest's facilities
- Process shipments in Midwest's and Customer's E-Systems.
- Pull customer orders, load and unload trucks and ocean containers, and fill in for other warehouse team members when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Previous warehouse/distribution center experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- High level of numerical precision
- Desire to learn new technologies and skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel, and stoop on a repetitive basis
- Reliable transportation
- Experience managing others
Preferred
- 2 years in a warehouse supervisory role
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook)
- Strong familiarity with shipping and logistics
- ERP experience
- Bi-lingual w/ English and Spanish language fluency

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
