What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Production Worker position at Consolidated Equipment Group?
Job Summary:
Perform a variety of duties as assigned including, but not be limited to working within the shipping department to help load and stage shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned):
- Ability to load and unload trucks in an efficient and timely matter
- Ensure shipments are correct with paperwork
- Maintains a neat and clean work area
- Ability to cross train and perform multiple areas
- Safely operates forklift
- Examines work-piece for defects and ensures conformance with specifications
- Practices and supports continuous improvement within the company.
- Interacts well with other team members and also able to work independently.
Education and/or Experience:
- A background in metal fabrication and manufacturing
- Ability to read and assemble parts according to production manuals and engineering schematics
- Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools and hand-held power tools
- Smart and exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Knowledge of various production applications
- Integrity that is above reproach
