Consolidated Machine and Welding is looking for an experienced Metal Fabrication Design Lead to join our team in Hannibal, MO. In this role, you will work closely with customers and suppliers to ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and identify opportunities for improvement.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of design principles, such as bend radius, tolerances, and material constraints. Experience with Creo or Solidworks 3D modeling software is preferred. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the production of sheet metal components and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new sheet metal components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and release new products.
- Work with various materials to create functional, durable, and cost-effective designs.
- Provide support to production and quality teams during manufacturing and testing processes.
- Identify root cause and corrective action(s) for design-related issues.
