Position Summary
Delva Tool & Machine (DTM), a CMT company, is seeking a General Manager for our Cinnaminson, NJ location. The General Manager is responsible for maximizing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by developing and implementing strategies to drive quality and financial performance for the CNC machine shop. *This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm. The base salary range for this position is between $175,000 - $200,000 per year depending on experience*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops a strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
- Works with the Board of Directors and other executives to identify the few, but powerful, initiatives that will drive a culture of excellence through process discipline and continuous improvement.
- Monitors all safety issues with the goal of identifying root cause and elimination of risk.
- Has a strong lean skillset that can be deployed to systematically improve operation effectiveness.
- Experienced change agent using a dynamic team structure where employees are involved, creating transparency and by in by employees at all levels.
- Develops capacity strategies, implementation plans and programs to support sales plans.
- Responsible for maintaining budgets and optimizing revenue and expenses. Monitors financial health of operating unit; review and analyze performance reports.
- Understands baseline objective setting to drive transformational results.
- Presents company initiatives and performance against plans at Board of Director meetings.
- Participates in annual planning and budget development process.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or 5 years' experience in aerospace manufacturing is required.
- 8 years CNC machining and fabrication experience is required.
- 5 years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong Lean manufacturing background.
- Proven change agent that can lead from the front to drive results.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
