Position Summary
CMT is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Finance to oversee the financial operations of the company. This role will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach to financial leadership, guiding the company’s growth and profitability while maintaining strong internal controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Oversee accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Serve as a financial partner to the CEO and executive team, providing insights and recommendations.
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and lender covenants.
- Optimize ERP (JobBoss) and accounting systems (NetSuite) to enhance financial processes.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to improve cost control and financial efficiency.
- Manage lender relationships and oversee cash flow, treasury, and capital allocation.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations.
- Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing or private equity-backed environment.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and pricing strategies.
- Experience managing lender relationships and financial compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
