CM&W is looking for 1st shift General Laborers at our Hannibal, MO location. The General Laborer is responsible for providing a variety of production duties on various machines and processes throughout the facility. Your work will be scheduled based on operational needs and you’ll be responsible for complying with all company and safety practices and procedures. Pay rate is $16.48 per hour.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The General Laborer (GL) is responsible for providing a variety of production duties on various machines and processes throughout the facility. The GL’s work will be scheduled based on operational needs and is responsible for complying with all Company and Safety practices and procedures.
What You'll Do:
- Follow demonstrated instructions for assigned work.
- Participate in all on-the-job training.
- May perform various maintenance, housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing functions.
- Follow and comply with facility work rules, and all company and safety policies and procedures.
May be assigned one or more of the tasks below:
- Fill in on an as-needed basis on fabricating machines.
- Package, sort, and stock parts and material. Stage jobs as needed.
- Assemble parts and products.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock.
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to keep a clean and organized work area.
- Ability to comply with policies and procedures, including those related to safety.
What Helps:
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication preferred.
- Experience in a similar role preferred.
