CM&W is looking for a 1st shift Shipping & Receiving Associate at our Hannibal, MO location.
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for shipment and receiving of all incoming and outgoing product and parts, verifying all required documentation, inventory, data entered into operating information systems, and that parts and product are stocked based on current company/operation requirements.
RECEIVING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Receive in shipments, pull packing slips, compare packing slip to purchase order (PO) in ERP and count all items per the PO. Communicate any discrepancies to appropriate department(s).
2. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with purchasing to rectify damages and shortages.
3. Communicate with accounting once shipment pieces are verified. May communicate with other departments on special orders.
4. After inventory is complete, responsible for stocking all items received daily.
5. Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled.
SHIPPING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pick & pull materials according to
CM&W procedures; place the orders in specified delivery areas for pickup.
2. Communicate with all departments necessary to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs.
3. Operate forklift
BOTH FUNCTIONS
1. Comply with all operating, health and safety policies and procedures.
2. Use organization tools such as ERP to locate and gather stock per Work Order Requirements.
3. Conduct daily cycle counts on hardware and raw material items.
4. Tools used to assist with receiving tasks: Dolly, Pallet Jack, Fork Lift, Carts and Scan guns.
5. Required to cross train in shipping and receiving support positions to ensure all positions can provide backup for absences, vacations or times of high volume.
6. Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality in the shipments of our product.
7. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by proper housekeeping of warehouse areas.
8. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
