Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Nurse RN Labor and Delivery to join our team at Consolidated Medical Travel.
Specialty and Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Labor and Delivery, with a strong background in Cerner. The role requires the ability to circulate C-sections and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information
- Unit: L&D/PP
- # L&D Beds: 8 with 6 overflow beds
- # Triage Beds: 7 in L&D
- # Postpartum Beds: 40 beds (Mother/Baby, antepartum, and GYN)
The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Circulate C-sections
- Provide patient care in Labor and Delivery
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
The travel nurse will be required to work every other weekend and rotate holidays with core staff. The shift schedule will be 12 hours, nights, with potential for tele monitoring on mothers. The nurse will also be required to participate in common diagnosis and types of patients such as standard labor, multiples, high risk, vacuum, and VBACs.
Orientation and Training
- Floor specific orientation: 1-2 shifts with preceptor
