What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift position at Consolidated Metco?
ConMet - Canton, NC location is looking to fill a Maintenance Mechanic position to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of injection molding/assembly mechanical equipment and systems.
This is a 12 Hour Night shift Position.
What You Will Do:
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of injection molding/assembly mechanical equipment and systems
- Fabricate and install mechanical components
- Perform required preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with other team members
- Observe and comply with all company rules and regulations including the NFPA 70E Arc Flash PPE and procedures
What You Need to be Successful:
- Prefer college and/or trade school
- Minimum 2 years of related maintenance mechanic experience preferred; in lieu of experience, mechanical aptitude required
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints required
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repairs and installations
- Familiarity with high-voltage and low-voltage systems
- Experience in field service, hydraulics systems or industrial electrician roles is a plus
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and operation is a plus
- Good working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Willingness to learn how to safely utilize a forklift and a high-lift
