Roustabout Foreman

This position is responsible for managing roustabout crews in the performance of various oilfield services, including new well construction, maintenance, and other roustabout work. Roustabouts use a variety of equipment that may include (but may not be limited to) tractors, trucks, trailers, and maintenance equipment. Provides hands-on supervision and guidance to roustabout crew pushers and laborers to ensure the efficient operation of all jobs. Both the roustabout crew pusher and roustabout laborers utilize various tools/equipment to perform each job. Duties of crews include (but may not be limited to) bolt up, layout, installing/repairing fencing, , threading, paint, and fitting pipe. Facilities and other general well site construction items are to be performed according to site plans by installing and using valves, pumps, separators, fittings, and other oilfield-related equipment. Construct barrier walls, compressor sheds, fences, and other general construction items for well sites. Assemble or repair, pipelines, flow lines, discharge lines, and plumb in all devices. Rig, and assist in setting loads, separators, or tanks being moved by cranes or hydraulic lifts. Perform location cleanup, maintenance, and other housekeeping tasks as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manages the daily workflow of multiple crews and laborers
• Manages and reviews field tickets in ticketing software
• Manages and reviews crew time and time off requests
• Coordinate crew schedules according to job demands
• Dispatch of multiple crews for assigned area and assist other Supervisors when there is overflow work needed to be covered
• Manages new/existing customer relationships
• Leads with Safety, build and train crews
• Leads with Safety to ensure company processes, policies and guidelines are understood and followed by all crew members
• Executes with Management on Customer quotes, job bids, and job books
• Assist Management with job reviews and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Responsible for assisting crews in the field on a constant and consistent basis – to ensure that 90-95% of time is billable

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides ongoing training, supervision, and development for Roustabouts, ensuring that the crew performs their job in the most efficient and productive manner possible
• Responsible for ensuring crews have all required safety and work equipment necessary, as well as making sure all equipment and PPE is inspected and regularly cleaned or maintained for proper function and safe use
• Responsible for making sure crews are properly completing and documenting a Job Safety Analysis and Pre-Job Safety Meeting regarding possible hazards when arriving at a work location - prior to starting each job
• Responsible for making sure crews properly complete and submit Field Tickets or other documents showing work time for the crew
• Assists Crew Pushers and crews to communicate effectively and regularly with management regarding jobs, hazards, needs, employees, etc.
• Comply with all company and location Safety/DOT policies to work safely in a potentially hazardous environment
• Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Manage and supervise activities of Roustabout Crews to ensure employee skill development and safety
• Ability to effectively lead and manage people, jobs, and crews
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment, ensuring that it is functioning and operating properly
• Capable and resourceful in lining up equipment for consecutive jobs requested by the customer
• Ensuring quality products and services are provided to the customer
• Knowledge of equipment and tools commonly used in the oil gas industry
• Basic math knowledge used in common calculations
• Must be professional and motivated to complete all tasks assigned
• Possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must possess the ability to safely operate all vehicles and equipment involved in roustabout work
• Must have working knowledge and the ability to use computers and software such as Microsoft Office, email, timekeeping programs, invoicing, etc.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to effectively communicate with other employees, managers, and all other relevant third parties involved with the jobs This includes (but may not be limited to) typing, speaking, reading, writing, and hearing.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (but are not limited to). The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time, unassisted. The incumbent must wear a respirator when required. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate industrial machinery is required. This job also requires full range of body motion to include handling and lifting. The incumbent must repeatedly lift and/or move up to 65 (SIXTY-FIVE) pounds unassisted. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Work is usually done outdoors and sometimes at a client facility or job site and is frequently performed in inclement and/or extreme weather conditions. The incumbent is exposed to electricity, moving mechanical parts, vehicles, equipment, and hazardous materials. This position regularly requires long work hours and frequent weekend work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 70 per week
