Qualifications
The Design and Showroom Coordinator position is responsible for providing a warm, welcoming and exciting showroom experience for CKF customers. As the first impression for customers, this position is expected to professionally and warmly greet customers, acquaint them with the proper sales or design staff in a timely fashion, answer and direct customer calls to the proper individuals, ensure the showroom and reception area are clean and organized.
Essential Functions

- Provide exceptional customer experience by greeting and assisting incoming customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Frequently check in with unattended customers while they browse to ensure all their questions are addressed.
- Assist in the preparations of design proposals and complete basic cabinet and countertop designs and quotes using appropriate company programs.
- Offer informational tours of the showroom to walk-in customers who are not yet ready to meet with a Sales Representative.
- Frequently walk through the showroom to ensure that it is clean and organized. Pick up after meetings, as needed.
- Answer phones and greet customers as they come in providing a warm and energetic atmosphere. Listen to and respond or forward voicemails and faxes, as needed.
- Complete daily administrative tasks, including but not limited to inventory, entering new lead opportunities, completing daily Zoho reports, entering all location details in customer ‘hello’ folders, calling will-calls, updating showroom traffic count
- Connect customers with the correct sales point of contact depending on the customer project. Assign walk-in retail customers and leads to a sales representative and create a “new opportunity” in SPS
- Process customer payments, disperse purchase order acknowledgements to the appropriate designer, send delivery acknowledgements to appropriate sales person
- Manage showroom samples, including retrieving them for customers and putting them away at the end of the workday, as well as ordering new samples as needed.
- Manage office & building supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed
- Ensure the front desk/reception area is kept clean and presentable. Maintain a clean entryway and replenish coffee bar.
- Coordinate projects in the showroom
- Open and distribute mail to the office and make runs to the post office to send packages as needed
Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift stone samples, office products, and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Required Education and Experience
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Cash handling
- Previous experience working in a customer-facing role.
