Consolidated Utilities Corporation (CUC), founded in 1997 and based in Hudson, MA, is currently seeking a self-motivated service technician to work in the expanding field of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Hydrogen (CH2) Vehicular Fueling. CNG is the use of Natural Gas as an automotive/commercial-industrial fuel and continues to grow with the introduction of RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) as an Environmental focused option. CUC maintains a network of both full public-access and private access CNG stations throughout New England. Key requirements:
The ideal candidate for this position will have strong mechanical aptitude and commercial/industrial electrical/electronic experience with familiarity in PLC programming and Controls. CUC will provide equipment/manufacturer specific training. Your background should include some or all of the following.
· A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Technical school or college training is a plus.
· 3 to 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· PLC programming experience.
· Well-developed electrical/mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
· The ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems in high-pressure gas and/or other systems.
· The ability to diagnose electrical/electronic faults, such as shorts, open circuits, ground faults, etc.
· The ability to diagnose electrical/electronic faults in motors and/or control systems.
· The ability to work safely in confined areas with high-pressure gases and high voltages/amperages.
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
· A clean RMV driving record in all the New England states (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, and VT). The ability to obtain, or currently have, a CDL-A with a HazMat endorsement is a plus.
· The ability to be on call 24/7/365 in rotation. You will be expected to meet contract-specified response times on any day of the year.
· The capability of working in seasonal conditions in the New England area.
· Basic Mechanics' tools: wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc. Diagnostic tools would be a plus. Specialized Tools will be provided by CUC.
· A military or aircraft/aviation background is a definite plus.

Day-to-day duties:
· Make periodic inspections of CNG stations and associated equipment to ensure all normal operating conditions are being met.
· Check and record all CNG station parameters. Observe trends and make appropriate corrections.
· Clean and maintain CNG station locations by removing trash and litter, notifying management of any damage (from weather or from vandalism) and ensure that the overall CNG station appearance is well maintained.
· Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating conditions.
· Inspect, maintain, adjust, or repair electrical equipment including electrical wiring, panels, switchgear, meters, transducers, solenoids, actuators, lighting, monitors, and motors for safe and proper operating conditions.
· Inspect, maintain, adjust, or repair mechanical equipment such as compressors, engines, pumps, valves, inter-coolers, after-coolers, fans, heat exchangers, piping, tubing, fittings, filters, dryers, fasteners, and actuators for safe and proper operating conditions.
Inspect and maintain a company provided service vehicle
