The Commercial Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing growth strategies to expand Zip's market share across North America. This position will work closely with Territory Sales Managers to identify new opportunities, drive sales initiatives, and oversee specification initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with Zip's sales and brand objectives. This role requires a strong mix of leadership, collaboration, and strategic thinking to accelerate revenue growth and expand Zip's influence in the commercial and building sector.
Key Responsibilities :
- Business Development & Strategy :
- Develop and implement a commercial business growth plan aligned with Zip's sales objectives and market expansion goals.
- Identify new opportunities in the market, including potential partnerships, customer segments, and product applications.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform and adjust business strategies as needed.
- Collaboration with Territory Sales Managers :
- Partner with Territory Sales Managers to set and achieve territory-specific sales targets and growth objectives.
- Support Territory Sales Managers in identifying key accounts, developing client relationships, and closing significant sales opportunities.
- Facilitate communication between Territory Sales Managers and Specifier Segments to ensure cohesive territory management and brand consistency.
- Specification Initiatives :
Drive efforts to secure product specifications within targeted market segments, focusing on architects, engineers, and other specifiers.
Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers in targeted customer accounts, including developers, contractors, and architects.
Track sales activities, prepare reports, and provide insights on territory performance and market trends.
Experience : 7 years of experience in commercial business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
