Consonus Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician as a Third Party Billing Lead to join our team.
Responsibilities in this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide recommendations for process improvement
- Prioritize workloads between pharmacy locations
- Lead the 2:30 stand-up daily
- Ensure staff are following current policy/processes
- Maintain professionalism and integrity at all times
- Notification to Supervisor if there are risks of customer and or staff loss
- Perform all duties per the Third party staff job description
- Ensure accuracy and processing of all Z-Reports and review weekly with supervisor for approval Staffing
- Participate and provide input for interviews and staffing
- Coordination and implementation of staff training
- Provide feedback for 30/90 and Annual reviews
- Weekly reporting on training progress
- Assist in coaching of employees as necessary
- Ensure staff provide appropriate customer service at all times
- Communication to Supervisor of staffing concerns Pharmacy Communication
- Communicate with other billing and pharmacy departments as they relate to resident and facility billing with supervisor Daily Processes
- Teamwork and communication a must
- Manage assignments of all queues for timely processing to ensure daily/weekly/monthly deadlines are met
- Assisting with higher level concerns within the teams
- Resource for various process related questions (i.e. phone calls)
- Ability to make decisions and manage daily workflow
- Set up all new third party plans including creating and distributing templates to billing department
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
The following qualifications are required for consideration:
- Current State and/or National Pharmacy Technician licensure - REQUIRED.
- Previous Technician experience (1 year) working with rejections, prior authorizations, overrides and various insurances.
- Supervisor and/or Lead experience is required.
- Experience with Pharmacy Rejections
- Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and insurance filing procedures
- Ability to challenge difficult PA Rejections
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented and good problem solving skills.
- Computer knowledge - experience with Microsoft programs
