Job Description: Compiles, reviews, reconciles, prepares, and analyzes entries to facilitate the bookkeeping function. Processing of financial statements and other reports in an accurate and timely manner. Oversees accounts receivable and payable processing. Performs all duties in accordance with Management’s policies, processes, and procedures and within the realm of the management philosophy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable and payables activities in conjunction with operations and accounting teams to ensure timeliness, accuracy, accountability and general ledger coding and posting monthly into general ledger.
- Accountable for the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, cash management/reconciliation, financial reporting, balance sheet management.
- Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected.
- Provides technical accounting GAAP guidance and support to all company entities
- Responsible for proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules.
- Ensure that company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies. Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.
- Compiles all financial statements covering all activities of the Company and the maintenance of all budget control procedures.
- Preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate banking postings are completed.
- Assist in coordination with outside vendors, including but not limited to insurance renewals, lease renewals, credit applications, and new customer engagements.
- Preparation of the financial statements, periodic forecasts and annual budget to provide support to ensure timely, accurate information.

- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies and regulatory guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
- Prior management experience required.
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting
- 5 years of Private Industry accounting experience, manufacturing and/or aviation experience, a plus.
- Excellent people skills, team building skills and conflict management skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience with Corridor a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make sound business decisions and work effectively with little or no supervision.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to successfully work with a wide range of personnel including vendors, personnel, office staff and all levels of management personnel.
