Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
- Assist with medical procedures and examinations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Proficiency in medical records management systems such as Cerner and Athenahealth
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and interpretation
- Experience with venipuncture and administering intravenous medications
- Familiarity with aseptic technique for wound care and sterile procedures
- Ability to perform tube feeding and manage enteral nutrition
- Basic life support certification required
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding system for accurate diagnosis documentation
