What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Director, Product position at Constant Contact?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Product to own our Constant Contact Premium product offering, leading the advancement of our marketing automation and customer data platform (CDP) capabilities.
Constant Contact’s Premium offering is a startup product that has been growing fast, and we are in need of a visionary leader with a GM-mindset and a track record of delivering product innovations that expand market reach, enhance customer value, and accelerate growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define vision and execute strategy and roadmap for marketing automation and the customer data platform, empowering small businesses with smarter, data-driven solutions to accelerate growth and success.
- Market Expansion: Identify target customer profiles and use cases to drive Total Addressable Market (TAM) expansion, with a special focus on Marketing Agencies.
- Innovation & Differentiation: Define and deliver best-in-class automation and data solutions that differentiate Constant Contact in the market.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive seamless product development and go-to-market execution across various stakeholder groups.
- People Leadership: Build a strong organization with high levels of employee engagement by developing and attracting top-talent, and recognizing high performing teams and individuals. Provide employees with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities to enhance their skills, motivation, and performance.
- Customer Insights & Analytics: Use customer research, behavioral data, and market trends to inform product decisions and create customer-centric solutions.
- Performance & Growth: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement in product adoption and revenue impact.
Who you are:
- 10-15 years experience delivering software products used by external end-users, with domain experience in marketing software and workflow automation. 6-8 years prior people leadership experience.
- Proven track record of managing multiple operational functions with an entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating the ability to drive ROI and measurable financial impact.
- Strong ability to collaborate with and influence executive leadership to align product strategy with business goals.
- Experience leading product strategy and successfully launching products in an Agile development environment (preferred).
- Undergraduate degree, Master Degree Preferred
- Travel Requirements: Periodic travel for collaboration & alignment, customer visits, and GTM events.
