What are the responsibilities and job description for the Woodshop Teacher position at Constantine High School?
Qualifications:
- State of Michigan endorsements in industrial technology education (TE or IX endorsements)
- Successful experience teaching vocational education at the secondary level
Duties:
- Minimum requirement of Bachelor degree in education with a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements (TE or IX)
- Instructs individuals and groups in vocational setting
- Plans curriculum, lessons, programs and teaching methods
- Evaluates student progress based on papers submitted, test scores and observation and monitors students’ progress
- Maintains physical environment of the classroom
- Evaluates student progress based on work output and observation and determines goals, objectives and directions
- Prepares report cards, educational records, IEPC forms, classroom observation records and other forms and maintains communication with parents
- Collaborates with Administration and other support staff
- Provides classroom support and lessons utilizing approved curriculum
- Upholds all safety standards in the classroom and lab.
- Performs other duties as assigned
