The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Operations Lead to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our credit configurations and processes are operating effectively, evolve and enhance our collections and hardship management capabilities, and oversee the day-to-day activities within collections and hardships. This role is instrumental in maintaining operational excellence while delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
\n- Credit Configuration Management
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize credit configurations to ensure they operate as planned and align with regulatory and business requirements.
- Collaborate with product, technology, and risk teams to implement updates or changes to credit systems that improve automation whilst maintaining strong lending standards.
- Conduct regular audits and testing of credit configurations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support CXNPL Operations implement new procedural changes and maintain adherence process requirements
- Identify and liaise with Product on opportunities for improvement across CXNPL Operations that improves the time to decision and strengthens CXNPL’s credit risk procedures.
- Assist the Operations team interact and respond to any Client Banks with any questions relating to CXNPL credit decisioning
- Manage customer interactions related to collections and financial hardship, providing empathetic and solution-driven support for consumer and business customers.
- Work with internal teams to resolve escalated cases and deliver fair and consistent outcomes.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collections and hardship activities.
- Develop and refine processes, tools, and systems for collections and hardship management, ensuring they remain scalable and customer-centric.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance in all activities.
- Partner with data and analytics teams to identify trends and improve collections and hardship strategies.
- Liaise with risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure policies and practices align with regulations.
- Work with product and technology teams to implement system enhancements for better operational efficiency.
- Provide insights and feedback to leadership on credit, collections, and hardship operations.
- Proven experience in credit operations, collections, or hardship management within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of credit configurations, collections systems, and regulatory requirements in Australia including ASIC’s RG96.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive customer interactions empathetically.
- Proficiency in financial services software and tools; familiarity with digital banking platforms is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
