Role Summary
This role requires direct oversight of Constellation's Nuclear Power Generating Station operations, including directing Reactor Operators in controlling plant operations and Equipment Operators in field operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Authorizing maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipment status is maintained.
- Implementing Emergency Operating procedures and directing required procedural steps to stabilize the plant following emergency or abnormal conditions.
Responsibilities
This role requires the following responsibilities:
- Directing operating shift personnel in the performance of plant duties, including standing watch on rotating 12-hour shifts and coordinating and directing the operation of the nuclear power plant's systems.
- Assisting in developing refueling sequences and ensuring systems can accommodate shutdown and refueling operations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successfully passing the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST) pre-employment tests.
- Must successfully complete a FLS Leadership Assessment.
- Meet or exceed one of the following: 1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a non-comparable facility.
