At Constellation Energy, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Operations Training Specialist to join our team. This role will play a vital part in developing and implementing plant-specific nuclear operations training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute performance-based operations RO/NLO training programs aligned with Constellation's TSD model, adhering to department procedures, and utilizing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
- Maintain current training programs by incorporating information from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation's NERs, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, plant design change and backfit information, plant procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports.
- Design trainee examinations and conduct evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as needed. Additionally, counsel trainees, evaluate results, and recommend individualized training programs.
- Support station and fleet initiatives in business projects, project management, refuel outage support, EP duties, and special projects.
- Participate in audits conducted by NRC, INPO, and management, preparing responses to findings.
- Stay updated on plant operations, discipline skills, and techniques, ensuring the ability to develop and deliver effective, high-quality training.
- Oversee the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities.
Requirements:
Mid-Level Nuclear Operations Instructor:
- Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or education/training WITH 2 years related industry experience/technical background OR Associates degree in science/engineering or education/training WITH 4 years related industry experience/technical background
Senior Nuclear Operations Instructor:
- Previous or current senior reactor operator license OR Previous Reactor Operator (RO) WITH 4 years of related industry experience (must achieve SRO certification within 18 months.) OR A Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Certification WITH 4 years of related industry experience AND 6 months of proven teaching in Licensed Operator Requal Training (LORT) or Initial License Trainee (ILT)
- Effective written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Mid-Level Nuclear Operations Instructor:
- Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or education/training
- 6 years of commercial nuclear power plant training experience
Senior Nuclear Operations Instructor:
- Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or education/training
- Previous or current senior reactor operator license OR A Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Certification WITH 6 years of related industry experience AND 6 months of proven teaching in LORT or Initial License Trainee (ILT)
Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive salary range of $105,300 - $117,000 per year (mid-level), $130,500-$145,000 per year (senior-level), based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package included.
