Job Description
The Initial License Trainee (ILT), Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) will engage in classroom instruction, simulator training, and on-the-job experience to acquire the essential skills and knowledge to meet qualification for a Senior Reactor Operator License holder.
- Completion of Fundamentals Phase
- Simulator Certification
- Acquiring SRO status
- Attainment of NRC SRO License
The successful candidate will be fully licensed by the NRC to supervise the operations of the reactor control room.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Passing the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST)
- Successfully complete a FLS Leadership Assessment
- Meet one of the following qualifications:
- 1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility
- 1.5 years in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator at a military reactor
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or physical sciences, or professional engineer license with 1.5 years as a qualified non-licensed operator
