The expected salary range for this position is $106,200 to $118,000 , depending on experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Senior Energy Market Analyst will play a critical role in understanding current energy market conditions, assessing various programs and regulations, and preparing insightful forecasts on the implications of key trends. This position focuses on evaluating the impact of energy demand, commodity prices, renewable energy, emerging technologies, and changes to the generation fleet across U.S. energy markets. The goal is to equip Constellation to thrive in an ever-evolving business landscape.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Identify key market drivers and ensure they are incorporated into both short-term and long-term forecasts.
- Coordinate insights on market developments with essential stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Communicate emerging market dynamics to a wider commercial audience effectively.
- Focus research and analysis on aligning with Constellation's commercial objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Fundamentals, Structuring, Risk, and other teams to deliver consistent and coordinated market analysis.
- Conduct thorough research and retrieve data from various websites and databases.
- Utilize both off-the-shelf and proprietary analytical models, customizing them as needed (e.g., Plexos).
- Evaluate modeling outcomes and convey results in a clear and concise manner.
- Work collaboratively on projects that enhance analytical capabilities.
- Engage in additional research responsibilities as necessary, participating in various Fundamental and Technical Analysis projects.
- Prioritize working on ad-hoc, time-sensitive projects.
