">Responsibilities
- Authorize maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipment status is maintained.
- Implement Emergency Operating procedures and direct procedural steps to stabilize the plant following emergency or abnormal conditions.
- Oversee special projects determined by the Operations Director/Operations Managers.
- Create, revise, and review Emergency Operating Procedures and Abnormal Operating Procedures to support safe, efficient, cost-effective operation of the Nuclear Generating Station Units.
Work Environment
The work environment for this role includes working in a fast-paced nuclear power generating station, with varying levels of noise and physical demands.
">Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successfully passing the Plant Operator Selection System (POSS) and Basic Math and Science Test (BMST) pre-employment tests.
- Meet or exceed one of the following qualifications: 1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a noncomparable facility.
